Ruth Flowers (69!) experienced the nightlife of London when she joined her grandson’s birthday in a nightclub. When she managed to pass the bouncers she was stunned by the osmosis between light and music. Bored of being a retired old lady, she started dj’ing herself. ”I’d rather sign a contract with a record company than to sign up for the nursing home…” This lady, including diamond headphones, leopard prints and big black sunglasses is my new role model!
80’s cult fashion movie to see!
Lady Gaga’s show at the Grammy Awards was speechless! She danced with a bunch of monsters, jumped in a whole of fire and rocked the piano. She dressed freakin’ amazing, even her piano was styled with black spooky arms. A pity she performed with Elton John, he could have stayed home if you ask me.. Peggy Sue heeft vorig jaar een geweldige EP ‘Lover Gone’ uitgebracht. Hopelijk komen zij hun album ook even in Amsterdam promoten. Dat belooft ‘a beautiful spring’ te worden!
Ik heb gister enorm genoten van deze film. De ironie en de dieper liggende zwaarte in het verhaal nemen elkaar op prachtige wijze in de hand en het contrast tussen de Russische en Parijse cultuur zorgt voor ironische taferelen. Daarnaast sleurt de klassieke muziek je op wonderlijke wijze in de emoties van de personages. Naar mijn mening is deze film zeker een aanrader!
