I bet some of you are going to London’s biggest colour-laden fest of the year, so this post is for you. But what we really want to know about, are the warm-ups and after parties that really hold the juice for some epic partying! So i’ll start with the best warm-up. Urban Nerds is expected to be good, not only cause it runs from 9.00 pm – 5.30 in the morning, but also cause it’s on a secret location in Shoreditch like last years warehouse rave. For afterpartying go to E.T.A. Their parties promise a great crowd, cheap drinks and a sound system where true clubbers dream of. With live sets of Staton Warriors, Lazersonic and Gold Fish, there’s not much reason to say no to this one! Hope this helps to make your weekend booming.
If you’re around East London tonight and you want some fun, flirt and gay loveliness go to Hot Boy Dancing Spot! Its one my favourite recurrent parties and always promises to be good fun. This time is at the Camp Basement a recently opened gay bar on city road just of Old Street in London. Check out the facebook page for the event details… and might see you there!
Yesterday Antoine Peters launched his new collection The World is Flat at a lovely old location in the red light district in Amsterdam. His inspiration he derived from pop culture and the pin-up illustrations of Alberto Vargas. For the presentation he created a pop song + video, together with Rimer London (see post below). Love it how Antoine always looks for something completely different and new and comes up with great concepts every time.
Here We Go Magic @ Tolhuistuin / London Calling Paradiso organised a mini open-air London Calling at Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam Noord last Saturday. Great idea! And this lovely garden is also a gorgeous spot to hang out on warm summer nights. Amsterdam and reality seem miles away in this place. I came to see The Strange Boys, but actually didn’t notice they were performing. Here We Go Magic, on the other hand, was hard to miss. read more…

With urban showcases, open studios and small feasts, this festival will bring this beloved city to live! There’s an impressive bunch of architectural exhibitions and a lot of highlights, including a weekend long celebration in my favourite part of London: East! (June 26-27) and the festivals finale around Bankside Urban Forest (3-4 July). read more…
Moderat, photo by Melissa Hostetler It’s almost time for the fifth edition of Source Festival! Besides many great electronic music acts, where the festival is known for, there will be space for cultural and creative projects like artshows, theater and film. On the 10th and 11th of July three outspoken sounds can be heard. First of all, electronic label Kompakt from Keulen, will bring artists like Superpitcher, Matias Aguayo and Koze. Secondly, the organisation Lockdown represents the Dubstep scene, inclusing Mala, Silkie&Quest, L-OW and Cinnaman. And last but not least, the pure technosound of Robert Hood, Joris Voorn and Marcel Fengler. Get ready for a buck wild weekend in the Nedereindse Plas in Utrecht!
One of the first banging tunes of this summer. Be sure to check out the excellent Breakbot remix as well.
The Kissaway Trail, First Aid Kit, Band Ane, Vinnie Who, Plök, I Got You On Tape, Ginger Ninja, Coco Moon, Maria Timm, Ghost Society… En Glamcult was there. read more…
