Yesterday And Beyond showed her new A/W ‘10-’11 collection “Smoke” at the Amsterdam Fashion Week. Just like last season it was one of the true pleasures of Dutch fashion. And Beyond created a world of mystery in an iconic style presentation. It made me happy!

De expositie “In a Perfect World” is het resultaat van twaalf fashion studenten van Stockholm’s Beckmans College of Design. In deze tentoonstelling komen verschillende interpretaties van een ideale wereld naar voren; met o.a. “serious matters would come in glitter” and “perfection is an ugly world”. read more…
A few weeks ago i lectured at the the Fashion Masters in Arnhem about the future of fashion communication. One of the topics was the changing world of content distribution and usage. Technology is moving fast forward with a lot of new developments. I believe the majority of media won’t be in print in the near future.
Zin in de zomer? Fool’s Gold uit LA is een band om dit jaar goed in de gaten te houden. De muzikale invloeden komen uit Afrika en valt ook goed in de smaak bij liefhebbers van indie, pop en dance. Het 12-koppige gezelschap heeft na hun recente bezoek aan Engeland al vele lovende reacties gekregen. Nu Nederland nog.

In collaboration with fashion designers Bernhard Willhelm and Jutta Kraus and the Groninger Museum, Glamcult published a special issue on their exhibition at the Groninger Museum. You will find this “limited edition” (hate that word!) sealed togehter with the new Glamcult in selected stores. Go and look for one, its a collectors item!

Today I bumped into a great installation from fashion designer Denise Esser at SPRMRKT in Amsterdam! Esser graduated last year at Rietveld! You all should come and have a look at this beautiful monumental outfits!
In september werd gezegd dat het oudste indie fashion magazine van Australië, Oyster, kampte met wat problemen. Wat nogal logisch is als de editor in chief, art director, sales director en nog een paar andere personeelsleden ontslag nemen. read more…
