Over the span of 3 years, London-based photographer Burak Yaşar captures the emotional rawness of queer nightlife and the subsequent ecstasy that comes with waking up as others go to sleep. The photography project High and Low doesn’t attempt to dissect the dichotomy of light and dark – it embraces it wholeheartedly and reflects the candidness that comes with freeing your emotions under the guise of darkness. Between the sticky dancefloor, exaggerated false lashes and strapped garters, Yaşar snaps away on their camera, capturing moments of exhilaration, vulnerability, and desire.
