Artists like Cat Burns, Obongjayar, King Krule, PinkPantheress and more refuse to stay silent
On 17 September, the OVO Arena Wembley will host Together for Palestine – a major benefit concert uniting international and Palestinian artists in support of humanitarian efforts in Gaza. Curated by Brian Eno, alongside Khaled Ziada and Khalid Abdalla, the event sends a powerful cultural message in a time of increasing censorship and political apathy in entertainment industries.
It’s easy to become numb to distant suffering – but the creative industry has influence, and it’s making clear that business as usual can’t continue. All proceeds will go directly to Choose Love, supporting Palestinian-led humanitarian missions on the ground.
“It’s about sending a message of love to the people of Palestine,” says Eno. “We see them, we hear them, we’re deeply connected – as we are to all humanity.”
Featuring a star-studded line-up with artists like King Krule, Obongjayar, Sampha, Cat Burns, Damon Albarn, and PinkPantheress, the night laments the testament that music is resistance – reminding us that art not only reflects the world, it can help change it.
