KIKO KOSTADINOV X LEVI'S COLLAB PIECES DROP SEPTEMBER 12TH

Sent with love (and a dog named Dante)

Levi’s and Kiko Kostadinov are back for round two – and this time, it’s for the people who are on a first-name basis with their local postage point. Designed by Laura and Deanna Fanning, the new five-piece womenswear capsule is stamped with custom artwork inspired by vintage stamps. To our excitement, one of the stamps features the Fanning sisters’ actual dog, Dante. Is he our favourite pet in fashion? Absolutely. Do we need more denim in our closets just because of it being dog-merch? Not sure. But do we want it? Without question.

The shapes in this collection pull directly from vintage 70s Levi’s motorcycle archetypes (cinched waists, standing collars, hardware-heavy details, etc). But they’re reimagined through a kind of space-age suburbia filter. It feels like Beyonce in that music video for Why don’t you love me? would wear this to board a spaceship (poofy updo included).

The Carina Flared Jean is a modular piece, zipping, flaring, and buttons galore, featuring the stamp motif, plus bonus details: two snap buttons at the waist (because who doesn’t love redundancy), a visible rivet at the fly (for the denim purists), and trapunto stitching on the back waistband (say it with me: unnecessary but delightful). We also really like the Carina Apron Short. Technically she’s a more a skort than an apron, since the apron overlay is non-removable (a committed queen). Underneath are wide-cut bermuda shorts that fall just below the knee, finished with tinted indigo accents for that just-got-back-from-the-laundromat feeling.

The collection debuted on the Kiko Kostadinov SS25 Women’s runway during Paris Fashion Week, where outfits looked like a lil trip down to the 70s. All in all, the collection is a tiny ode to snail mail, sentimentality, and a very good boy.

So, where do I get it? Levi.com, the Levi’s® App, select Levi’s® and Kiko stores, and niche stockists near you.
