Eartheater drops new single “8”

Eartheater drops “8” — our favourite experimental siren has undergone another cycle of deific transformation. What came out is a reinvisioned recording of “Infinity” — the track that ignited the spark of her first project, Metalepsis, back in 2015.

Turning the single on its side (see what she did there), “8” intensifies the original softness of its earlier counterpart and grows into a more layered, bittersweet incarnation. In this form, the track coils and reverberates across an arching storyline, bringing forth Earteater’s stirring vocal range and emotive production. The single takes the 8th place on Metalepsis’ anniversary edition, epitomising 10 years of Eartheater’s sonic witchcraft. In the accompanying music video, we follow her transfiguring reflections in commemoration of her artistry that is ever-glowing, shapeshifting and building upon itself, flowing outside of linearities of time.
