AMBUSH F/W ’21 takes us round the clock
A lakeside vacay never felt so on-trend as AMBUSH share with the world their Fall/Winter ’21 Campaign. The 24/7 look-fest, shot by one and only Harley Weir is a feast for the eyes as we are delivered sex-on-the-pier-esque fashion. Bringing versatility and vivacity, Yoon Ahn has hit the nail on the head once again as we see beautiful people wrapped in beautiful garments. The brand which began as a jewellery line in Tokyo has been dominating the fashion world since opening its door’s in 2016, and has since been named as one of the top 8 finalists for the LVMH PRIZE, alongside Business of Fashion’s Top 500 people influencing the global fashion industry and has collaborated with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Off-White, Nike, GENTLE MONSTER (and more). With such a tally of accomplishments already under their belt- this collection came as a breath of fresh air in a sea (or lake?) or sameness.
Shot besides the delicate watery backdrop, the campaign features tonal waves of pink, black, green and beige, where it becomes clear that both the environment and the collection are within a discourse. Paying homage to the land in which the collection was photographed, whilst going beyond the typical earthy palette.
From sharp and eccentric re-takes of a classic suit to fun woollen jackets, this truly feels like a full day out; from leaving the office, to going to dinner, to heading to the club. The collection also features a killer LBD, with an exposed waistline to accentuate the curves with an intricate metal detail.
