Quenching the thirst for connectivity
Over the past (few) years, the concept of togetherness and connectivity has been somewhat fleeting. Coming together is an essential act, and feeling like part of a community is something we as beings require and often thrive off. As the world begins to reopen its doors (again ?), Calvin Klein knows how to get us in the mood for the interconnectivity to come, releasing their latest collection with a campaign celebrating the closeness of people, All Together.
Spring 22 for Calvin Klein is about rethinking the future, our communities and the very world we live in. Promoting authentic togetherness, they conquer the streets gardens and open spaces to bring people together in a cacophony of love and appreciation – united in the Calvin Klein get-up.
The campaign, photographed by Glen Luchford and directed by Melina Matsoukas captures over 120 individuals in their personal landscapes. From known names such as the much-lust over Dominic Fike to the real people around us, everyone is intersected under the umbrella of community.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic brand’s past, the collection moves forward with new silhouettes and proportions, enhancing universality, creating pieces everyone can wear and style in their own unique way. Safe to say, these pieces will be going straight in our spring-summer basket, ready to be dressed up, dress down and re-interpreted however you feel best. Our must-have pieces include the basic white tee, providing the fit every depop gal’ is after and every CK gal’ has found, alongside the comfiest of bralettes and the 90s style denim shorts perfect in every wardrobe.
The positively-motivated campaign has come at a time we all finally feel able to take a deep breath of freedom, and the freedom of the pieces translate the emotive overload we are currently all experiencing as the concept of intimacy re-enters our vernacular.
