ASICS SportStyle and Cecilie Bahnsen have done it again

A little more sporty, though equally feminine and free

Round two has officially arrived as ASICS SportStyle announces the second release of their collaboration with beloved Cecilie Bahnsen. The Japanese sportswear brand alongside the uniquely feminine and modern universe of Cecilie Bahnsen has come together to re-interprete the GT-2160™. Evoking the romance and inherent beauty Bahnsen is known for with the openness, simplicity and pragmatism of ASICS SportStyle, the collaboration continues to celebrate life lived at the intersection of “everyday couture, movement and ease”, combining both brands’ DNAs.

Teaming up with renowned Japanese photographer, Takashi Homma, the campaign is a visual showcase of Bahnsen’s editorial eye. Highlighting the collection’s fairy-like, and graceful essence, we see the pair’s latest designs gliding through the streets of Tokyo at twilight alongside Cecilie Bahnsen’s Fall-Winter ’23 collection. Describing the mood as presenting a “noir-ish, sci-fi feel”, the campaign exudes the design and colourways of the collection itself.

Bringing into their wonderland two unique styles, the trainers aptly mirror the 3D textures, embellishments (and the kind of maximalism we are drawn to) that have become synonymous with Bahnsen’s style. Coming in both a hot flamingo pink and a deep dusky blue, the colours used to accentuate the intricacy of the trainer design from its floral details, layering, and straps referencing the first release with a more functional reinterpretation — I think we can shout out ASICS for that one. Overall, drop two is a little more sporty though equally feminine and free, making them a statement which innately exclaims the brand’s contextual universes.

The second of ASICS and Cecilie Bahnsen will launch on Asics.com and selected retailers on November 22nd. On your marks, get set, shop here
