Björk announces her forthcoming 10th album

A fusion of emotion, turning grief into gabber

Björk IS the moment and has been for the past 45 years. The musician, who has been a trailblazer of sound, fashion and futurism from the beginning, has just announced her forthcoming 10th album, titled Fossora this coming fall. The body of work is said to be reflective of the death of her mother — Hildur Rúna Hauksdóttir — in 2018 and is self-described as “a mushroom album”; “like digging a hole in the ground. This time around, I’m living with moles and really grounding myself”. And if that doesn’t paint a typically Björk metaphorical fantasy, we’re not sure what does! With features like serpentwithfeet, her son Doa, and our fave Indonesian dance duo Gabber Modus Operandi, this album is set to be a Glamcult must-listen.

Alongside the album will come a podcast delving into her discography, from her first self-titled album in 1977 to today.
