Carhartt WIP SS23: Boroughs

A nostalgic trip back to the brand’s early-American roots

One of our favourite streetwear brands, Carhartt WIP, has just launched its latest summer campaign, taking us on a nostalgic trip back to the brand’s early-American roots. The collection, which showcases Carhartt WIP’s renowned feather-light denim, pays homage to the brand’s heritage, captured on the vibrant streets of New York City, and hails the artistic talent of D’Andre Williams and his distinctive lens.

Celebrating the essence of 90’s New York (with, of course, a typically Carhartt WIP twist), the brand’s signature silhouettes are reinvented with exaggerated proportions, clean lines, and a typical-of-the-time loose-fit aesthetic that we are all clawing for in the depths of this summer heat. Embracing the spirit of the era, the standout items featured in the collection are also the most iconic, including a boxy-fit denim shirt which serves as a versatile wardrobe staple, alongside a pair of classic straight-leg carpenter jeans, and a dark-wash utility jacket that combines rugged durability with a classic city put-together-ness.

This collection embraces the elements of the brand its wearers love: versatility, comfort and wearability. Where every piece makes a look and every look can be styled just how you want it!
