Capturing their heritage while being totally contemporary.
As the weather gets warmer and the days longer, we know one thing is for certain: Grey Days is here. For those who don’t already know, throughout the month of May New Balance brings the community together to celebrate their iconic colour grey. Here, the independent sportswear brand focuses on signature and new silhouettes through the lens of this grey, forefronting their transformation of urban running. Every year, Grey Days marks a moment where New Balance honours their boundary pushing philosphy and nature. Needless to say, this year the brand has truly outdone themselves, encapsulating this spirit with the special edition 1906R Grey Days – illustrating their heritage while being totally contemporary
This year, New Balance has graced us with the film Grey Days, that really explores this history and the brand’s role in sneaker culture over the years. Here, the creative directors Thom Glover and Daniel Wolfe have curated five crucial moments in New Balance history, all told through ’60s animation style and photography. How are we celebrating this year’s Grey Day? Glad you asked. This Friday the New Balance Grey Café will be open from 3-6pm and Saturday from 11am – 5pm. And in preparation for Sundays 20k, New Balance is teaming up with Brussels run crew Cadence for a lil shake-out 5k run on Saturday. See you there!
