CSM White Show 22: The Playground

A white Christmas but make it CSM — the legendary fashion institution returns with their White Show tradition, a challenge for first-year fashion students to create garments exclusively from white materials. As any remnants of colour are stripped away, the architecture, form and handiwork of each piece are in the spotlight. This year’s theme is around play — stimulating imagination, experimentation and curiosity. From larger-than-life silhouettes, to abstract cut outs and adventurous layering, the collection is a perfect introduction to the new generation of fashion masterminds and their vivid talent not dimmed by the lack of pigment. Placing such a strict limit gives birth to different forms of creativity, as the project aims to “find the sixth sense in fashion”. Peep our favourite looks below!
