Diesel eggs us on at MFW.

Street style spawned.

As if fashion week isn’t hectic enough, for their SS26 collection, Diesel sent fashion fans, influencers, and press girlies alike to scavenge the streets of Milan. Their game? 55 transparent eggs encapsulating this season’s looks. Like aliens sent from the sky or newborn babies in an incubator, models stood, stern and smizing, waiting to be found.

Paying homage to Belgian designer Jurgi Persoon’s SS 2001 “Girls in Eggs”, Diesel uniquely broke through the revered red velvet ropes of fashion week, allowing anyone who dared – or had enough stamina – to see the full collection for themselves. Getting up close and personal, and slightly voyeuristic.

Inside the eggs, our dear Diesel bunny left us a cheeky surprise, their newest hatched fabrication: interwoven denim and poly-satin, distressed and treated to iridescent perfection. Paired with the shell’s custom lighting and a subdued colour palette, the fabrics glimmered, twinkling like magic. Almost making you forget the absurdity of your hunt. Glen Martens’ playful spin on the runway show reminds us that sexy and silly can egg each other on.
