ASICS are back at it again with their GEL-KAYANO™14 model, aptly dubbed as the ‘lifestyle shoe’. After the trainers first release back in 2008, the remodel represents the rich history behind the brand’s design- as it was the first trainer to be designed by Hidenori Yamashita. Placing a lens on the notion of ‘flash’, Yamashita took inspiration from “bursts of action where the runner lands at the heel and pushes away at the toe”- practical beginnings for a practical trainer. I mean… what more could we want? Repping that same Y2K aesthetic, the GEL-KAYANO™14 is paving the runway, just as it did 12 years ago. With the oh so sought after GEL ™ technology, expect a cushiony feel to this re-imagined mode, alongside the fresh golden colourway and luring blend of bold fundamentals. The GEL-KAYANO™14 is set to release December 18th, so its time to get in line!
