For the love

There’s no question – it’s been a Summer of resilience. Maintaining and uplifting our connectivity, community and love for both the spaces we once inhabited whilst facing the obstacles we have collectively overcome. Jumping over each hurdle, and celebrating every win, it has been a special and touching experience to see the Amsterdam community come together, embrace one another’s strengths and see what the power of unity can bring not only to each of us as individuals but as a city as a whole.

Two of Amsterdam’s cultural powerhouses: Dekmantel and Patta have done exactly that. The internationally renowned electronic festival (which has long been Glamcult’s go-to)  alongside the Dutch streetwear icons have banded together for their highly anticipated annual drop. Having first planted the seed of their now much-sought-after collaboration back in 2015, each year has brought us something special – whether it be memorabilia for a weekend to remember, or a fresh look for the rest of the year to come.

This year’s harvest did not disappoint. Patta x Dekmatel 2021 takes many shapes, including a crest hooded sweater, t-shirt alongside an exclusive cassette tape immortalising eight musical icons of the Dutch scene. Including tracks from Nathan Kofi, Jasmín, Cinnaman, Alberta Balsam, DJ Corridor, Naone, Mary Lake and the insatiable Nadia Struiwigh. This is a love letter to the club scene and festivals never forgotten, encapsulating the sounds they have been accumulating over the past 18 months. This is truly one for the calendars that we cant wait to get our hands on!

The entire collection will be released to the world this Friday at 13:00 CEST, and can be found both online at Dekmantel.com and Patta.nl. Though be warned – this is a special moment in time so the cassettes remain first come first serve – so get in line early if you’re ears are itching.
