May 14th in Arnhem (NL), mark your calendars!
On Thursday May 14th, Glamcult joins State of Fashion to co-host their opening in Arnhem (NL), setting the tone with a panel talk that brings these questions into the room. Together, we’ll explore fashion not as it once presented itself, but as it operates today, explained across five pillars: Develop, Distribute, Hype, Experience, and Transform. The opening programme features a live performance by HUMAN TOUCH, followed by a panel hosted by curator Shanu Walpita with contributions from Glamcult’s founder Rogier Vlaming, Eloise van Oranje, Juliet Seger-Banks, amongst others, followed by a guided tour through the Eusebius Church.
State of Fashion continues its exploration of how fashion and textiles intersect with the urgencies of our time. At its core lies a persistent question: how can fashion and textile contribute to a better world? This edition focuses on what makes fashion possible behind the scenes: the systems, infrastructures, and invisible movements shaping how clothing is produced, distributed, and desired.
Borrowing its title from logistics language, Available to Promise gestures toward something more complex beneath the surface. What is fashion really promising? What actually gets delivered? And who, ultimately, is it for?
Join us on May 14 to mark the opening and be part of the conversation.
We hope to see you there.
