Patta is all about family, and who else better to join them on this quest for closeness and connectivity than the OG trainer trailblazers, New Balance? Coming together to celebrate the very foundation of both brands – family – Patta brings a rendition of New Balance’s much-sought-after 990 v3 model. Created with all members of the family in mind, this trainer celebrates everyone within this multi-generational family affair… that’s right, from a twenty-something raver to your beloved g-ma’! With both brands being family-owned, they together have chosen to hail the mantra: “Keep Your Family Close” within every aspect of this collaboration; from design, colourway, campaign and so forth. It’s also worth noting that there is a kids’ model available (Patta’s first kid’s shoe ever).

The collection comes alongside a campaign capturing the serene scenes of a multi-generational family picnic. Shot by photographer Kyle Weeks, we see a BBQ taking place in full swing, dressed head-to-toe in the collection. The trainer itself is taking on the classic aesthetics of New Balance and together with Patta, they are giving love to the 990 v3. Coming in hot with the olivine, the trainer features sandy and bold green fluorescent (perfect-to-party-in) accents. Every detail has been carefully thought-through as we also see a dual-toned, white and grey, speckled sole. The shoe also includes subtle branding details, from the Patta script P on the heel tab, to the extended Patta branding on the heel counter.

Alongside the shoe, Patta has pulled out the bag one of their famed capsule collections; featuring crewnecks, sweatpants and t-shirts in the same bold green as seen in the shoe! Now, with this collection being geared toward all, we decided to show it off our way… and you guessed it, at Glamcult Selects. Getting our hands on a couple of pairs, we took them to the dancefloor and gave them the test of time (or, in this case, hyper-pop).
