NO/FAITH Studios x PUMA drop new footwear

The sports shoe for the afterparty.

For the summer days that never seemed to end, and the nights we barely remembered. For when corner stores were your sanctuary, park benches were your bar, and lost change was your best friend. Running from friends, parents, or the cops.

Well, a new runner has entered the race. Gloomy deconstruction never misses on NO/FAITH Studios’ newest collaboration with PUMA, reimagining the iconic Talon sneaker with an edgy and delicately melancholic twist. Fitted with a muted color palette, worn-in grungey patina and distressed denim panelling, the Cologne-based brand gives the original 2004 design a run around the block. Returning to the track with a new look, the Talon is now suited to hit both the treadmill and the club.

In photographer Beltran Gonzalez’s shots for the campaign, models perch atop car hoods, metal fences, and air conditioning units with a sullen stare, portraying a more sombre and nonchalant take on the sports shoe. It’s trackstar-chic with a gritty edge.

With this collaboration, independent brand NO/FAITH Studios makes its first venture into sportswear. The German designer Luis Dobbelgarten founded the young brand in 2016 with just a screenprinter and a sewing machine. Steadily making their name known for signature raw denim pieces and satisfyingly slouchy cuts. Their release with Puma brings the brand right back to their roots on the streets of Cologne, just kids embracing chaos and creativity.
