UNIQLO X MARNI

Everyday joy and the art of timeless clothing

The Japanese clothing brand, UNIQLO, is known for its epic collaborations. From JW Anderson to the Louvre — they position themselves at the forefront of creative collectivity. Bringing together artistic inspiration (in the form of ready-to-wear items) they uphold innovative fabrics and design elements in everything they do. This collaboration is no different. Teaming up with the Italian luxury fashion brand, MARNI, UNIQLO has exemplified the MARNI aesthetic (yep, we’re talking colour, print and playful pieces-only), through their eyes, producing a collection that is bold and brimming with fun. Using the UNIQLO LifeWear technical expertise and smart design, this collection is a summer must-have, made with everyone in mind for the everyday.

The special thing about UNIQLO is their staple items; the pieces we all have in our wardrobe, which are ready to be dressed up, dressed down and played around with to fit our own personal style. It is within these collaborations, that designers are too able to have this back-and-forth with the pieces. Using this, MARNI has exemplified their pop style and graphic prints contrasting monochromatic looks with patterns and exciting silhouettes. Using the theme of “universality” as their starting point, optimism is the key, where dynamic pieces, such as the cocoon BLOCKTECH coat, and pleated dress, give volume-enhanced chic. Alongside this, are the men’s pieces; a beautifully tailored jacket alongside an array of gingham looks. Another standout goes to the parka, a pocketable jacket made of a supple nylon material that is paired perfectly with the collection’s swim shorts.

With a price point of 10-150EUR, this is designer-made-accessible (without compromising quality). You can shop the collection now at UNIQLO.com and in stores!
