TSAR B

AMOR

Born Justine Bourgeus, Belgian multi-instrumentalist Tsar B moves fluidly between production, songwriting and composition. Following two acclaimed predecessors, her latest album, The Writer, delves into the madness of love and the lingering despair of a world in decline. The record’s influences range from traditional pop triphop to deep-seated classical compositions, featuring collaborations with Vienna-based classical vocal ensembles.

Today, she performs her lead single “Amor” on Glamcult TV. Loosely based on Claudio Monteverdi’s soprano solo in The Nymph’s Lament, Tsar B inhabits a broken-hearted nymph, accompanied by her own violin and joined by a cellist. This stripped-back version transforms a piercing tale of collective heartbreak into an ultimate outcry for love.
