The artist’s newest single substantiates our steamiest, most risqué wishes for a night out
A few eras back (according to the fast pace of internet chronology), Paris Hilton famously bedazzled the culture with the statement Skirts should be the size of a belt. Life is short, take risks. Sometimes uncouth, other times irrevocable and essential, Ashnikko’s newest single staples the status of the Itty Bitty skirt in our current era, rendering it a categorical in for the season.
The world of the pop-dissident is marked by multitudes. Itty Bitty, co-written with Skyler Stonestreet and Slinger, is simultaneously silly and skillful, erotic but naive and kittenish. The joy of putting on a promiscuous outfit and dreaming of all the raunchy possibilities of a night out is a common denominator for many club-goers; Ashnikko sets it all forth without shying away from any such fantasy (we mean it when we say not at all shy;) ).
“There’s nothing more effective for healing a broken heart than an itty bitty teeny tiny little slutty skirt,” the artist mentions assuredly. “Our bodies are our most intimate canvases – the ritual of getting ready to go out with friends is one of my favourites. We arm ourselves with trinkets, talismans and amulets, treating beauty and self-expression as a devotion to life itself.”
Hence, we should probably be treating the garment in the same way Ashnikko proudly admits to – not only as totemic when pursuing everything you’d probably not want to talk about the next day, but also as a handy instrument in achieving it all. If you’re still doubtful about going all out next time you’re at the club, make sure that Itty Bitty is in your predrinks playlist.
