Kidill felt like a seamless mixture of harsh and soft. A well-balanced, but spunky start to fashion week. Their FW26 show ‘Heaven’ was set in an empty building besides the sparkling Eiffel Tower, which was the perfect scene for the peaceful chaos inside.
With an obvious nod to Japanese camp culture, the collection felt angrily cute. Like an apocalyptic post-punk forest-rave threw up and somehow got covered in warm sunshine and pink glitter. The sight of a new sun softening the party’s (-or life’s) anarchy. Safety pins and tracksuits carrying us through the night, left with rips, patches and happy memories. If life’s a rave, heaven must be the after-party.
