Miles Delfos investigates the early 1900 and those who "wore life upon their skin"

Coming from a small city not far from Amsterdam, Miles Delfos sees fashion as a way of projecting his interdisciplinary approach to art. With a background in branding as well as in design, he is now exploring and manifesting his design identity through his collections. Inspired by a series of photos from German photographer August Sander, his work aims to depict the early 1900s, and the way those “wore their life upon their skin”. By using contrasting elements from the photos and material manipulation through design, Delfos has created a collection that he describes as an ode to this period.
