The Fabricant is an Amsterdam-based digital fashion house that uploads humans to the next level of existence. The collective, co-founded by artists Kerry Murphy and Amber Jae Slooten, operates at the intersection of fashion and technology; fabricating digital garments for trade-in virtual realities. The Fabricant opens novel pathways to a fashion industry, in which digital-only clothing transcends limitations of the material body and wasteful productions, editorials and runway shows. The fashion house renounces current tendencies of competition and destruction within the industry, instead, placing collaborative construction at the centre of its practice.
