Alpha Industries x Peggy Gou: a capsule for your double (and triple) life

It’s the weekend, and we’re shedding our functioning adult selves in favour of our feral nightlife alter egos the moment the sun clocks out (we’re legally obliged to make the most of these 4pm sunsets). Club queen Peggy Gou – a seasoned shape-shifter of schedules, scenes, and identities – has teamed up with Alpha Industries to design clothes for precisely this transformation. Titled From Day to Night, the capsule is all business in the front, party in the back. Disciplined military lines turn into loose-limbed nightlife silhouettes across two voluminous bomber jackets, with the wrap mini skirt acting as the hinge between the two worlds, synthesising your multiple personalities.

Glamcult #143 – UNDERCURRENT

As our consumption becomes more calculatedly curated, a warm underbelly lies rampant and fertile. Where niche substrains sprout, develop, and blossom underground, roots form without restraint, away from the beaming light of our pocket computer companions. UNDERCURRENT arises, presenting a docuseries of our local independent sonic scavengers, whose daring persistence in their musical craft refuses to bend.

MAAHLEEK for Glamcult #142, the DEEPREAL issue

Maahleek’s body is a museum site: a living, breathing exhibition space where artefacts transpire, fusing with his own DNA and self-expression. The LA-based artist, also known as Tribal Kunt, utilises a deeply research-based and archival approach to styling and hair art, crafting looks that “blend many aspects of [his] ancestry with a twist.”

Allie X Has Finally Let Happiness Catch Her

Allie X, the Toronto-born, LA-based singer, songwriter, producer, director, stylist, but mainly goth-pop iconoclast, has always treated pop like an art installation. After the chrome precision of "Girl With No Face", her new album “Happiness Is Coming To Get You” feels… human.

In conversation with Courtesy

What if the afters were at an art gallery? Flowing between the club, gallery, and screen: Courtesy’s artistry doesn’t bind itself to one particular space. As a DJ, the Danish artist explores the eclectic, euphoric and campy side of club music: her sets are trancey, uplifting, and delicately sincere.
